Amidst the lockdown brought on by the Covid-19 virus, Christians around the world are still celebrating the death, burial and the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Despite devious plots to hinder this celebration, all efforts geared towards this event have been aborted and proven futile. God has said in His Word in Matthew 16:18, '..and on this rock I shall build my church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it". His word, no doubt has been proven true as God's people have overcome the demise brought on by Covid-19.
Tomorrow, we will be celebrating the resurrection of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, and we, the Christian community will forever be grateful for His sacrifice on the cross. Without His gruesome and vicarious death and sacrifice, where would we be? Certainly, condemned to eternal damnation. This is not a cunningly devised fable or fairy tale; it's real!
Jesus suffered and died on that old rugged cross to save us from sin, hell and the devil. Without accepting this reality, you can never be saved from the tribulation ahead in the nearest future. No one needs to be told that the whole world is in for very trying times as has never been seen, heard or ever experienced. And so therefore, everyone has to wake up and smell the coffee of tribulation coming.
Perhaps, at this time you are yet to give your heart to Jesus and make an eternal commitment to Him, here's your chance to do so. Pray a simple prayer asking Jesus to come into your heart. The Bible says in Romans 10:9-10, 'if you believe in your heart that Jesus died and rose from the dead and you confess with your mouth, you shall be saved..
In essence, your salvation is hinged on two things: believing and confessing. God loves you so much and He demonstrated it on the cross. So, don't let it go to waste!
