Today is #Mothers Day and all mothers are being celebrated all over the world. Single mums aren’t left out as we mark this day. It doesn’t matter how hard or difficult it has been, the fact still remains you are a mother, and you are worth celebrating!
So brace up and put a smile on your face, and be thankful that you have made it through the most trying times, and when it seemed all hope was lost, God showed up.
If you look inside and around, you have so much to be grateful for. You have that child to be thankful for; you have the ability to take care of him or her in every sense of the word because you have accepted your responsibility.
So therefore, take the time today to look back at how far you have come and consciously thank God for life, His provision and protection, and most importantly making you a mum. Mothers, never really get to receive thanks because their roles are somewhat always taken for granted. But note this, for every tear you have cried and every time you have tried one more time; every time you sacrificed for that child, and every time you had to forgo your dreams for the sake of theirs, you will be amply rewarded.
Sometime in the future, not too far from now, when you see your success mirrored in their eyes and smiles, you will sigh and realize it was worth it all in the long run.
